Pastor Dave Swavely (M. Div.) is a graduate of The Master's Seminary in Los Angeles, CA. During the 90s he served for seven years as an assistant to Dr. John MacArthur and a pastoral staff member at Grace Community Church, also in Los Angeles. In 1999 he joined the Presbyterian Church in America and planted a church in the Wine Country of Northern California, which served the communities of Napa and Sonoma. In 2005 he returned to the Philadelphia area, where he grew up, to be closer to family and to plant a new PCA church in Malvern.

Dave has over fifteen years of extensive experience in biblical counseling, and he is also a writer. He co-authored the books Life in the Father's House: A Member's Guide to the Local Church (with Wayne Mack) and From Embers to a Flame: How God Can Revitalize Your Church (with Harry Reeder), and is the sole author of Decisions, Decisions: How (and How Not) to Make Them and Who Are You to Judge? The Dangers of Judging and Legalism. He has been a speaker in numerous conferences and on the radio, and has also served as the founding principal of a Christian school.

Dave enjoys basketball (he was a state champion many pounds ago), he collects comic books, and is one of the world's biggest USC football fans. He has been married to his wife Jill since 1990, and has six children.
