our mission and vision

To be a Great Commission, Gospel-Centered, and Giving Church

Our mission and vision at FAITHCHURCH can be summarized by “Three Gs.”
By God’s grace we want to be:

A Great-Commission Church (Matthew 28:17-20)

  • A church that is exalting God in worship (UpReach) – “And they were worshipping Him…”
  • A church that is evangelizing the lost (OutReach) – “Go and make disciples…”
  • A church that is enfolding new members (InReach) – “Baptizing them…”
  • A church that is edifying and equipping current members (DownReach) – “Teaching them to obey…”
These elements provide a standard for an ongoing evaluation of the ministry (the numbers correspond to the ones above):
  • If a church is not constantly enjoying heartfelt, God-focused, biblically balanced worship, it is not honoring God.
  • If the people in a church are insulated from non-Christians, and not talking to them regularly about the Lord, they are not obeying Christ’s command.
  • If new people are not becoming a part of the church family on a regular basis, or the only growth is “transfer growth,” there is something wrong with that church.
  • If the members of the church are not constantly excited about the new things they are learning, and also the new things they are doing to serve the Lord, the church is not living out the Great Commission.

A Gospel-Centered Church

  • Centered on the gospel of the grace of Christ more than other, less important issues (1 Cor. 15:3-4, cf. Gal. 1:8-9)
  • Centered on the gospel in that everything we do is connected to it and motivated by it (i.e. “gospel-driven”)

A Giving Church

  • Generous giving of our money to mercy ministry and missions
  • Generous giving of our time and energies in mercy ministries
  • Generous giving of our people to new churches
  • Generous giving of our prayers to the work of the kingdom
